What counts as one reading? Each PDF or DOCX submission counts as one reading, regardless of length up to 70,000 words. All 11 report sections are generated in full for every reading.

Common Questions (Pricing & Plans)
What counts as one manuscript reading?
One PDF or DOCX, up to 70,000 words, counts as one reading, no matter the length. You get all 11 report sections every time. Resubmitting a revised version counts as a new reading.
Do unused monthly readings roll over?
No, your reading allowance resets at the start of each billing period and unused readings do not carry over. Need more in a given month? Extra readings are available at the per-reading rate below.
What if I need more readings than my plan includes?
Extra readings are $29 each, billed automatically through your account. No upgrade needed.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrades kick in right away, prorated for the rest of the period. Downgrades wait until the next billing cycle. If you're on the Trial Pack, you can upgrade within 30 days and the $25 counts fully toward your plan.
Is annual billing charged upfront?
Yes, one payment at the start of the year, about 17% cheaper than paying monthly. Researcher is $590/year versus $708 if paid monthly. Professional is $1,190/year versus $1,428.
Is there a low-cost way to try Clasr first?
Yes. The Trial Pack is $25 for one full reading, no subscription required, valid for 30 days. If you upgrade within that window, the $25 carries over to your first payment.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
No, for individual plans. Cancel anytime, and you keep access until the period you already paid for ends. Enterprise contracts run about 12 months, with renewal terms in the agreement.
What payment methods are accepted?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted through our secure checkout. Available payment methods are shown before payment.
How are taxes handled?
Taxes are not included in the listed prices. Applicable taxes (such as VAT or GST) are calculated based on your location and shown at checkout before payment.
Are there discounts for students or developing regions?
Not on individual monthly plans right now; the Trial Pack is meant to be the low-cost way in. For institutions in developing regions, email hello@clasr.ai and we'll talk pricing.
